Privacy Policy

Aisle Hero is built and operated by Mxhta Studio LLC ("we," "us"). We designed the app to be privacy-respecting from the ground up. This policy explains, in plain terms, how Aisle Hero handles your information.

The short version: No account required. No analytics or tracking SDKs. Your scan history, favorites, and profile stay on your device. We only send product barcodes and search terms to nutrition databases to look products up, and subscription information to Apple and RevenueCat to manage your Pro membership. We never sell your data, and we don't track you across other apps.

1. Information we do not collect

Aisle Hero has no user accounts and no login. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal profile. The information you enter to personalize your scores — your dietary goals, age, sex, and activity level — along with your scan history and favorites, is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.

2. Information processed when you use the app

Product lookups. When you scan a barcode or run a search, the barcode or search term is sent to two third-party nutrition databases — Open Food Facts and the USDA FoodData Central — to retrieve product information. These services have their own privacy policies.

Camera. The camera is used only to read barcodes, on your device. Barcode images are not stored or transmitted anywhere.

Subscriptions. If you subscribe to Aisle Hero Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. RevenueCat receives your purchase and transaction history tied to an anonymous identifier — not your name or Apple account — in order to validate the subscription and unlock Pro features. This data is used for app functionality (and to give us aggregate subscription metrics). It is not used to track you across other apps or for advertising.

3. Analytics and tracking

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in Aisle Hero. We do not track you across apps or websites. (Apple may provide us aggregate, anonymous App Store metrics such as total downloads — this is standard for all apps and does not identify you.)

4. Third-party services we rely on

Open Food Facts — product, ingredient, and nutrition data.
USDA FoodData Central — nutrition data for U.S. products.
Apple — App Store distribution and in-app purchases.
RevenueCat — subscription management and receipt validation.

5. Data retention

Information stored on your device remains there until you delete it within the app or uninstall Aisle Hero. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat in accordance with their policies.

6. Children's privacy

Aisle Hero is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your choices

You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing it within the app or uninstalling it. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.

8. Security

Data sent between the app and the services above is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
